Experience that Formula 1 Feeling in Person!

At Bispingen there’s a centre that is unparalleled in Germany: the Ralf Schumacher Kart Center.  Each year, it  attracts over 200,000 visitors of all ages, a place where families can experience lots of spontaneous driving fun.  Special arrangements are available for group visits.

The outdoor go-kart track was developed and built by Ralf Schumacher and Jörg Schlüssler as early as 1996. Outdoor go-kart tracks are few and far between in Germany and it was the success of this that led to the planning of an additional indoor track. The futuristic building made of glass, steel and concrete was inaugurated in November 2001 – the atmosphere-controlled, carefully air-conditioned interior is the ultimate for racing enthusiasts, but also for everyone who might just want to get an glimpse into the world of international motor racing: step inside and there’s one of Ralf Schumacher’s original racing cars at the entrance.  On the indoor track, the drivers take the curves around some more original Formula 1 speed machines.

Everyone who goes karting at the Ralf Schumacher Kartcenter receives a detailed briefing - this includes the driving characteristics of the karts, the specifications and all other essential information that’s needed for the track. Helmets are provided - and then, we’re off!   The fleet consists of a total of over 100 karts, which are serviced technically every day. The vehicles are exchanged for the latest models every year, thus ensuring that our fleet is always complete with all the latest innovations.

Those who prefer the outdoor karting can race around the 1000-meter-long track at up to 70 kilometers per hour - on the indoor track, things are a little slower but more demanding, which is due to the narrower route, but this in no way affects the pleasure of the indoor driving.

For children from 8 years of age, there are special karts available at the indoor track, with a modified design and reduced performance. The very little ones can make their first attempts at driving in electric vehicles on a special outdoor track.

Our upper floor restaurant at the Ralf Schumacher Kartcenter has a panoramic view of the race tracks, complete with all the  type of gear you would expect from Formula 1.   We have four conference rooms with variable layouts, which combined, can seat up to 250 guests.  The rooms are not only suitable for company events, but also for celebrations in a special setting.  We can accommodate all dietary and culinary preferences and arrangements for your event.

In March 2005 the centre was expanded to include an extra sporting attraction. Downstairs, our Bowl 'n Motion bowling alley offers 6 bowling lanes equipped with the latest technology in smart, contemporary surroundings and each lane can be played by up to 8 people.
